The Vittangi graphite project is currently owned by Talga Group Ltd. (“Talga”).  Under the terms of the royalty, a 1% NSR royalty on the gross amount received from the sale of minerals produced is payable to Sandbox on a quarterly basis.

The Vittangi Graphite project is located in Kiruna, Sweden. Vittangi is one of the world’s highest grade and Europe’s largest JORC-compliant resource which is advantageously located near fast growing battery ‘megafactories’, and benefits from established high quality infrastructure including renewable electricity, road, rail and ports. Talga is currently in the permitting process for the development of the Vittangi graphite project.

In May 2022, Talga reported JORC-compliant graphite total Indicated & Inferred Resources of 30.1 million tonnes at a grade of 24.1% graphite in carbon form (“Cg”) for contained graphite of 7.2 million tonnes, including Probable Reserves of 2.3 million tonnes at a grade of 24.1% Cg for contained graphite of 0.5 million tonnes. The above information is sourced from Talga JORC-compliant disclosures effective June 30, 2022 in the Talga 2022 Annual Report found at www.talgagroup.com.
